Tom Brokaw: "Take this" all of you "bigots and rednecks"

Tom Brokaw seems like a nice enough guy, and my opinion of him went up a few months ago, when he wrote this clever article pointing out the folly of government bailouts to the private sector.

But now the long-time NBC news anchor says this, regarding President Obama's inauguration:

Listen, I just want to say one thing. Having been in the South in the '60s and Los Angeles, in Watts and northern urban areas, when we were evolving as a country, I'm thinking of all the bigots and rednecks and people I met along the way. I'm saying to them, "Take this." You know?

Gee, there's no bias in media, right?
